Nutley, NJ – The Nutley Family Service Bureau announced its plans to host the third annual running of the Nutley Fall 5 on Sunday, October 12, 2008 at 8:30am. The five mile USATF certified race course will run through the downtown Nutley area and throughout the expansive scenic park system offering a challenging course for all racing abilities.
“This event has gained a lot of momentum over the last few years,” commented Neil Henning, the newly appointed NFSB Board President. “We’re happy to see the support that this race has gotten from the local running community, and we hope to see more of our Nutley residents and neighbors come out in force to show their support for all the great things the Bureau does.”
The Nutley Family Service Bureau has tended to the needs of Nutley residents since 1913. The Bureau is committed to promoting the emotional and social well-being of individuals and families through counseling, and to provide community outreach programs to families in need right here in our own town and in surrounding communities.
All proceeds from the race will benefit the Nutley Family Service Bureau. In fact, funds raised will go directly toward vital programs and ensure the continued existence of the agency. Runners of all levels are invited to participate. There will be water stations at the 2 mile and 4 mile mark, with split times at each mile marker. Prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers, as well as the top runner in each age group. Additionally, awards will be presented to the fastest male and female Nutley residents. Compuscore will provide the official results for the race.
