Nutley Family Service Bureau set to Award Essay Contest Winners

Nutley, NJ – The Nutley Family Service Bureau sponsored prizes for the recently held Nutley Family Day Essay Contest – “What Sharing A Family Meal Together Means To Me.” There were three age category winners; the winner of the 1st grade thru 3rd grade category was Mister Jeremiah Bosque, a 3rd grader from Washington School; the winner of the 4th grade thru 6th grade category was Miss Madison Berrios, a 5th grader from Good Shepherd Academy; and, the winner of the 7th thru 9th grade category was Miss Stephanie Louie, a 9th grader from Abundant Life Academy. All three winners will receive a $25 Visa Check Card presented by members of the Nutley Family Service Bureau. All 400+ essay participants will receive a certificate of recognition.

“On behalf of the Nutley Family Service Bureau, I would like to congratulate the contest winners,” stated Neil Henning, President of the Bureau. “The Bureau was happy to participate for the second year, and recognizes the importance of strong families. These essays are proof that our community’s strength comes from these families.”

The Bureau, in existence since 1913, services the Township of Nutley and some neighboring communities by offering individual, family and group counseling on issues ranging from marital problems to problems concerning children and/or adult family members. They also offer employee assistance programs and community outreach programs. The Bureau promotes the emotional and social well-being of individuals and families.

All essay contest winners, along with their families, are invited to attend the next Township Board of Commissioners Meeting on Monday, November 3rd where they will meet members of the Nutley Family Service Bureau faculty and Executive Board, along with Mayor Joanne Cocchiola and the Board of Commissioners. A proclamation will be read, awards will be handed out and a group photo will be taken.
